WARNING: These instructions are intended for Users without ESRI Mapping. If your Grave Records are linked to ESRI Maps, deleting a grave record can permanently affect grave-record-to-map linking. You should create a Support Request to schedule a review of How to Delete a Grave Record and Preserve ESRI Map Linking.
Delete a Grave Record not Linked to ESRI Mapping

Select the Grave Record
- In Primary Tasks, select “Manage Graves” .
- Use the Quick Search tool in the lower left corner to locate the grave.
- Double click the grave record in the list to open up the grave detail view.
- Remove Deeds from the Grave Record
If there are Deeds Linked to this grave, you first need to un-assign the deed from this grave record.
- Select the Tools tab in the left hand navigation panel
- Select the Deed information view
- Select the Edit Grave button
- Blank out the Deed Number and press the Tab key
- Select OK to the warning and then Select the SAVE button
- Remove Occupants from the Grave Record
If there are Occupants or Deeds assigned to this grave, you must first move or delete the occupant from the grave record:
- Moving the Occupant
- Double click on the Occupant to open the Occupant Detail View
- Select the Tools tab in the left hand navigation panel
- Select the Change Location Tool
- Delete the Occupant
- If the Occupant is mistakenly flagged as Interred, you will need to manage this from the Manage Occupants Primary Task
- On the Grave Detail View, Click the “Delete Grave” button.
- Click “Yes” to confirm deleting the grave record
